I have always wondered if Ryan was affected by vaccines early on in life because things seemed ok in the beginning and then something changed. You know how you can't put your finger on something but you know something was different?? (and then it keeps on getting worse??) We received our diagnosis SOOOO late... in the game ( he was ten) but, the way we found out was because we were seeking help from Ben Renfroe with a muscle problem. (all of a sudden Ryan had some significant muscle tone loss and started walking and running funny) Ryan has a mitochondrial disorder, just like this little girl in the news. I went to a 4 day conference out in San Diego to learn about these disorder shortly after we received that diagnosis and while I was there had to fill out survey. Every child in my row that had one of the mitochondrial disorders was also on the spectrum. I clearly remember asking ( and getting a very vague answer in response) whether or not the 2 disorders were linked, or if one caused the other... After hearing about this little girl I am now convinced that our son's autism is related to his disorder and vaccinations way back. Sad
